Mary at the Foot of the Cross

Mary mourns beneath the crucified feet of Jesus, her blue veil framing a tear-streaked face as she presses a cloth to her mouth in grief. Beside the wood of the cross, a hammer and nail emphasize the brutal reality of Calvary.
