Beskrywing
Moses stands before the leaders of Israel as a staff is marked and presented among the rods of the tribes. The gathered men hold their walking staffs in solemn attention, recalling the Lord’s command after the rebellion to place each tribal leader’s rod before the testimony. Aaron’s staff, representing the house of Levi, would be set among them so God Himself could reveal the priestly calling He had chosen. The scene points to Numbers 17, where the dispute over spiritual authority is answered not by argument, but by divine sign. The rods become witnesses before the Lord: human leadership must be received from God, and holy service is confirmed by His command. This artwork serves well for teaching on Aaron’s priesthood, Moses’ leadership, Israel’s wilderness journey, and God’s resolution of rebellion through a visible covenant sign.
