Mary, Joseph, and the young Jesus travel through the hill country after leaving Egypt, with the child seated on a donkey while Joseph scans the road ahead and Mary walks beside them. The rocky path and open slopes frame the Holy Family’s journey back toward Israel after the death of Herod.
